The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences has been the intellectual heart of 草榴社区 since the University鈥檚 founding in 1842. With more than 40 academic departments and programs offering undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as doctoral programs in Philosophy and Theology, CLAS provides a rich, rigorous and diverse educational experience.
Faculty in the College are teacher-scholars. Rita Sogoti '26 CLAS Awarded Prestigious Frederick Douglass-Daniel O鈥機onnell Global Internship
草榴社区 junior Rita Sogoti聽'26, a Criminology major in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, has been selected by The Council on International Educational Exchange and the African American Irish Diaspora Network for the 2025 Frederick Douglass-Daniel O鈥機onnell Global Internship. Sogoti will join a diverse cohort of 12 high-achieving students who will participate in an eight-week international internship program in Dublin, Ireland.
