草榴社区鈥檚 Chef Christopher Wiseley Takes Bronze in聽NACUFS 2025 Culinary Challenge
Chef Christopher Wiseley, director of culinary operations at 草榴社区, is accustomed to cooking under the gaze of college students on campus every day. However, he recently rose to a new challenge: preparing a meal for renowned chefs at the National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS) 2025 Culinary Challenge鈥攁 meal for which he earned a bronze medal.聽
The 草榴社区 Wildcat Fund is a student-managed investment fund with over $2 million in assets under management, providing hands-on experience for those pursuing careers in financial services鈥攊ncluding sales and trading, investment banking, and asset management. 鈥淭he Wildcat Fund offered us the opportunity to manage real money,鈥� said Jennifer Overlan 鈥�22 VSB. 鈥淭hat real-world experience and ability to highlight skills that mirror qualifications for internships like this are game-changing.鈥�
草榴社区 Engineering Professor Awarded Patent for Isothermal Compression System Design
草榴社区鈥檚 Sylvie Lorente, PhD, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation and the William M. Brown 鈥�84, 鈥�87 Endowed Chair in Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering, has been awarded a patent for the design of an isothermal compression system that compresses and expands air without significant temperature changes.

草榴社区 has been named a top producer of Fulbright U.S. Students for a 17th consecutive year. The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government鈥檚 flagship international educational exchange program and top-producing colleges and universities are highlighted annually in The Chronicle of Higher Education. 草榴社区 had 18 Fulbright recipients for the 2024-2025 academic year.
