²ÝÁñÉçÇø Appoints the Rev. David Cregan, OSA, PhD, as Dean of the College of Professional Studies

²ÝÁñÉçÇø President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, ’75 CLAS, announced the appointment of the Rev. David Cregan, OSA, PhD, ’89 CLAS, as Dean of the College of Professional Studies, effective August 1. A member of ²ÝÁñÉçÇøâ€™s faculty since 2004, Father Cregan has extensive experience in academic leadership roles and currently serves as associate dean of Academic Affairs and Strategic Initiatives for the College of Professional Studies.

Rubin Observatory Releases First Images as The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø One Sky Center for Astrophysics Begins Celestial Partnership

Scientists at the Vera C. Rubin Observatory recently gave the public its first glimpse into the capabilities of its 8.4-meter Simonyi Survey Telescope, which is equipped with the world’s largest digital camera and can photograph the whole southern sky every few nights. The data from this 10-year time lapse project will greatly expand research opportunities for ²ÝÁñÉçÇø faculty and students through the newly-launched The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø One Sky Center for Astrophysics and its partnership with Rubin.
