7 WEEK ACCELERATED COURSES

The College of Professional Studies offers听FastForward courses online over seven weeks in the Fall and Spring semesters. These courses typically utilize a combination of virtual class meetings, online activities, and/or other assignments to afford students with an accelerated time frame to earn three credits.听听
These fast-paced courses allow students to earn more credits in a shorter time frame, condensing the path to a degree.

Navigate to听听and select term of interest and听Detail Search, then click submit. In the听Attribute Type听field, select Fast Forward Course, then click Class Detail Search.

Absences by students in FastForward classes are problematic due to the limited number of class sessions. If a student expects to miss more than one session, they should be discouraged from enrolling in the class. 听If an enrolled student misses more than one session, they should provide documentation for the extenuating circumstance resulting in their absence(s) for it to be considered 鈥渆xcused.鈥澨 Excused absences include the list offered in the听Class Attendance Policy.听 Faculty should clearly outline in their syllabus any potential make-up work allowed for excused absences, or grade penalties associated with unexcused absences.听
Students may add or drop a FastForward course within the first week of the class meeting with no financial penalty, per the听Tuition Reversal Schedule听from the Bursar鈥檚 Office.听 Students may receive an authorized withdrawal from a course without academic penalty and receive a grade of 鈥淲X鈥 up to Week 4.听 After that date, a student seeking authorized withdrawal without penalty must petition the Dean of his or her college, who has sole authority to grant withdrawals without penalty.
