Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students:

Today marks the start of a bold new direction in ²ÝÁñÉçÇø’s technology story—one based on collaboration, innovation, transparency, inclusivity, and purpose.

New Division Name:

As of June 11, we will be known by a new name:ÌýUniversity Technology Services. This change reflects our renewed commitment to empowering the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø community to leverage technology that drives innovation, collaboration, and growth.

New Leadership Team:

In alignment with our new vision, core values, and campus technology strategic plan, we are evolving our Technology Services leadership structure to strengthen innovation, deepen cross-campus partnerships, and strategically align our resources with ²ÝÁñÉçÇø’s future needs.

New Strategic Plan:

Since October, we have engaged nearly 300 faculty, staff, and students from across campus through focus groups and strategic working groups to directly influence our direction and priorities. It is my privilege to share the outcome of this collaborative work:Ìý TechNova 2026 - a community-driven roadmap for ²ÝÁñÉçÇø IT that prioritizes:

1. Enable Exceptional Student Experiences
   Support technologies that enable faculty and staff to provide all learners across all locations with exceptional experiences inside and outside the classroom.
   
2. Expand Support for Research and Scholarship
   Enhance availability and expand support for the use of technology in faculty and student research and scholarship.
   
3. Facilitate Digital Processes and Data-Informed Decisions
   Enable digital process, data informed decisions and high quality, cost effective and scalable university administrative operations
   
4. Pursue IT Operational Excellence
   Foster IT operational excellence by maintaining secure, reliable and user-centered services.

This plan reflects the voices of our community and lays the foundation for the future of technology at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø. I want to extend my deep appreciation to all of those who gave their time and expertise to this initiative.

Looking Ahead:

In the months ahead, we will be sharing other exciting changes, including the rollout of a new Shared IT Decision-Making Framework to promote transparency, collaboration, and responsiveness to campus needs.
