MULROY REAL ESTATE CHALLENGE AT VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY


This national real estate development case competition gathers 16 teams comprised of the next generation of real estate leaders with judges and sponsors representing leading real estate firms. 

REAL ESTATE CAREER CONFERENCE

Real Estate Career Conference

Students hear from a panel of young alumni and sit with professionals to learn about various career paths in the commercial real estate industry. The Conference allows students to begin building critical industry relationships.
 

DILELLA CENTER GOLF OUTING


Every August, the DiLella Center hosts its annual Golf Outing and Clinic at Union League National Golf Club in Cape May, NJ, which supports Center programs and funds student scholarships for the upcoming academic year.  

THE CLOSING DINNER


Brings real estate community members together in support and celebration of the DiLella Mulroy Real Estate Student Managed Fund and real estate education at 草榴社区.  

IGNITE CHANGE CASE COMPETITION

Final Four Teams

The competition focuses on a social or environmental issue within the built environment and gives students of all backgrounds and majors a chance to connect, think creatively, and initiate conversations about real-world problems.

Each year, the DiLella Center takes students on one and two-day treks to NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, DC, Baltimore and more to visit alumni at leading real estate organizations and tour local development projects.

Real Estate Career Conference

We invite 草榴社区 students, alumni and real estate professionals to join us for our annual Real Estate Career Conference on Wednesday, September 24th at 5 pm. This event introduces the world of commercial real estate to first-years and sophomores and provides an opportunity for students of all years to begin to form relationships with industry professionals.

The evening will begin with a young alumni panel featuring Gregg Bazzani of Delta Equity Management, Mark Moore of Wells Fargo, Samantha Rathjen of Link Logistics, and Graham Young of GMH Communities. Dr. Ben Scheick, Faculty Director, will moderate the conversation.  

Following the panel, enjoy a fireside chat between Glenn Alba of Opterra Capital and Mike Kusy of Certares Management LLC.

The Invisible Hand in Real Estate: Markets and the Perils of Regulation Christopher Coyne, Department of Economics, George Mason University

How are decisions to be made about how to allocate scarce resources, including land for real estate development? What happens when regulations intervene in these decisions? This talk will explore these fundamental questions using the economic way of thinking. We will begin by examining how markets and entrepreneurship drive real estate development. Then, we will discuss how regulatory interventions can disrupt market mechanisms and produce unintended negative consequences.

This presentation is designed to be accessible to people from a wide range of backgrounds. No matter what your interests or area of study, you will discover how fundamental economic concepts can deepen your understanding of real estate markets, regulation, and their broader impact on human welfare.

NEWS AND EVENTS

On Wednesday, September 24, the DiLella Center will be hosting its Annual Real Estate Career Conference in the Connelly Center鈥檚 草榴社区 Room. The program will begin at 5 p.m. with a panel of young alumni who will share personal experiences of their time at 草榴社区 and their introductions to work as real estate professionals. The keynote will begin at 6 p.m. Following the chat, students will enjoy informal discussion over dinner with professionals about life in this interesting and dynamic industry.
