September 3, 2025—The class of 2028, hailing from 20 states, the District of Columbia and six countries outside the US, has recently begun their law school journey. With impressive academic credentials and diverse backgrounds, this year’s entering class prepares to become principled leaders in the law profession.

More than 200 incoming students began their �������� experience on August 19, arriving at Scarpa Hall for three days of orientation activities. On the first day, students were welcomed by The Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, ’75 CLAS, University President and Mark C. Alexander, the Arthur J. Kania Dean.

“At �������� Law, we share a commitment and desire to create positive change. As lawyers, you will be part of that change in our society,” Dean Alexander said. “Our goal is to prepare you to advocate your positions—whatever they may be—in all settings so that when you are called to lead, you are ready.”

During orientation, students took the professional oath, administered by �������� Law alumna Hon. Jacquelyn Frazier-Lyde ’87, Municipal Court of Philadelphia Judge of the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, marking their official entry into the legal profession. Students also engaged in mock classes, participated in health and well-being seminars and became acquainted with classmates. Their introduction to �������� Law culminated in a community picnic sponsored by the Alumni Association with faculty, staff, alumni and current students.

�������� Law enthusiastically welcomes these new students and looks forward to their contributions to our community over the next three years and beyond.
