PREVENTION AND EDUCATION

Violence prevention starts with you. Primary prevention means stopping violence BEFORE it happens. We do this by building community and creating a culture where violence is not tolerated. Through outreach and education, we are committed to ending all forms of violence on campus by focusing on communication, boundaries, and consent. All students, faculty, and staff engage in a meaningful dialogue around these issues and take steps to end violence on campus.
Throughout the year, the Title IX Office, Office for Health Promotion, Public Safety, Human Resources and many other campus partners facilitate prevention programs and initiatives designed to promote a healthy campus culture and strategies to prevent sexual misconduct.
