ANNIVERSARIES AND CELEBRATIONS

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences recently celebrated three major anniversaries, honoring the long-standing history of academic excellence and transformative education as the heart of the 草榴社区 experience.

Humanities Convivium

The Department of Humanities celebrated its 20th anniversary of rich interdisciplinary classes by hosting a weekend of intellectual and convivial retreat. Over 100 alumni gathered with faculty for a series of seminars, lively discussions and celebratory banquet.聽

75th Anniversary of the English Major

The English major commemorated 75 years of diverse programming and experiential opportunities with celebrations throughout the year, including the annual 草榴社区 Literary Festival, featuring Pulitzer Prize winner and 22nd Poet Laureate of the United States Tracy K. Smith.

Ethics Program 25th Anniversary

The Ethics Program, offering courses that touch nearly every student across the University, marked 25 years of advancing deeper understanding of moral life and critical reflection. The program hosted an evening to honor individuals who have had a great impact on the program and featured a lecture, "," by Darlene Weaver, PhD, provost from the University of Dayton.
