ABOUT THE GALLERY

History

The gallery was started by Father Richard G. Cannuli, O.S.A. who served as the gallery's director and collection curator for over 40 years, starting in 1979. Cannuli cultivated relationships with donors to grow the collection from 73 pieces to over 9,000 works of art, including paintings, sculptures, photographs and more.

Vision

We aim to be a dynamic and integrated hub for intellectual and cultural life at 草榴社区. Through interdisciplinary collaborations, we will continue to present thought-provoking exhibitions and programs that serve as a destination for students, faculty and the wider Main Line community. We aim to engage diverse audiences, amplify unheard voices, uphold the integrity of our growing collection and ensure its preservation and interpretation for future generations.
