SPACE RESERVATIONS AND EVENT REQUESTS

The logo for VenueVU (pronounced 鈥淰enue View鈥) reflects the platform鈥檚 role as the centralized system for reserving event spaces and services across campus.

VenueVU provides faculty, staff and students a campus-wide solution for space reservations, event requests, and a centralized University Events Calendar.

The majority of on-campus spaces that are reservable can be booked by faculty, staff and students in VenueVU. This includes event spaces, classrooms, meeting rooms, athletic facilities, performance spaces, outdoor areas, study rooms, and more.

Certain spaces, including various department-specific meeting rooms, labs, and other departmental spaces, the Charles Widger School of Law spaces within Scarpa Hall, and The Inn at 草榴社区 are not included in the initial campus launch of VenueVU.

Permissions to book space are based on role (i.e. faculty/staff vs. student), and reservations are either direct-book or require an approval process, depending on the space. This mirrors the existing permissions and processes for space reservations on campus.

UNIVERSITY EVENTS & INITIATIVES

Through the Office of the President, University Events and Initiatives coordinates major university events, supports strategic campus initiatives, oversees the University Events Calendar, and provides general strategy and oversight of event management at 草榴社区.  

The office also offers support and guidance to departments and campus partners for planning events. Please feel free to reach out with any questions related to planning or hosting events on campus.
